Issue/Provider partitions/Biased unqualified
In the case where there are provider partitions, it can be the case that one registry uses an unqualified name for the resource despite there being different partitions. ATCC and ATCC_dna in NCBI, LSRN is one example.
Another is NCBI
Pathema -> http://pathema.jcvi.org/cgi-bin/Burkholderia/shared/GenePage.cgi?all=1&locus=__ID__
The general pattern is http://pathema.jcvi.org/cgi-bin/__TAXON__/shared/GenePage.cgi?all=1&locus=__ID__ and there are, IIRC, 4 taxa that are provided.
So Pathema(NCBI) perhaps should be renamed Pathema_Burkholderia?
But what about those cases, such as
http://jblseqdat.bioc.cam.ac.uk/gnmweb/ggb/gbrowse_details/se?class=Gene;name=SACE_0001
Here we have a single organism, Saccharopolyspora erythraea. However the organism abbreviation is in the URL "se". Should we protectively use a prefix of jbl_405948?
